Did you know that gratitude reshapes your brain?
It enhances brain regions linked to self-control and emotional regulation, helping you bounce back from stress and adversity.
Feeling grateful literally changes how your brain responds to life.
I know 2025 has been hard for a lot of people.
I made a big change by moving from Los Angeles to Idaho.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to do so.
I’m closer to my brother, sister-in-law, and my nieces and nephews.
I live down the street from an LA friend.
She and her family have been incredibly supportive and generous to me.
I live in a small town where I feel safe, and neighbors stop and talk to each other.
I live in incredible scenery.
I have so much to be grateful for.
Here are a few tips to make Thanksgiving a great day.
Have a nourishing breakfast.
It will give you the bandwidth to handle a full, busy day.
Have a protein smoothie.
Or a three egg omelet packed with veggies, chicken sausage, and a slice of sourdough toast or some roasted potatoes.
It will keep you from feeling ravenous once dinner rolls around.
If you’re having alcohol, make sure to have food first.
Drink water throughout the day.
After your big meal, get out for a walk.
It’s a great way to support digestion, and if Uncle Fred is getting everyone riled up with his political views, it’s a way to cut the tension.
There’s nothing a walk can’t fix.
I’m working on a health reset for January that will get your 2026 off to a great start.
I’m excited for what next year holds and the amazing cutting-edge tools I’ll be able to offer you.
Watch this space.
